Just looking at it makes you want to try it out,” writes. The bullets do have some serious fans in the community, who say the technology-or at least the pointed tips-are novel. “An entirely new concept and design, G2 Research shows us their brand new RIP 9mm round.

Overly dramatic promo material chock full of over-the-top mall ninjas? Check,” writes one user on the Sigforum site. Ridiculous, ‘evil’-looking bullet design? Check. The company says the hollow-point bullets can cut through human tissue like a “hole saw,” while minimizing ricochet that could impact other victims.īut it’s the bullet’s claims of precision that have many skeptics questioning its marketing campaign. “Wild claims of efficacy? Check. Because the bullet is intended to spread out, versus pierce through, it lessens the risk of collateral damage. The science behind the bullet is hardly new. I suspect, though, that a copper bullet that starts out at just 96 grains and sheds roughly half its weight due to designed fragmentation will simply not penetrate enough under a wide range of conditions to be reliably effective as a modern hollow point.” The site was one of several pro-gun blogs that questioned the actual “vital organ” exploding capabilities of the RIP bullet: “It looks great on camera, and I suspect that these bullets will leave nasty wounds to close if they were shot into a living thing. The bullet’s claims have been fodder for gun blogs this month. Unlike standard bullets that often pass through their victims, these slugs are designed to fragment internally after piercing the skin, cutting numerous potentially fatal routes through a target’s innards and organs. G2 Research, the Georgia-based company manufacturing the bullet, says on its website and promotional materials that the bullets, which feature “nine separate wound channels,” will revolutionize both law enforcement and the protection power afforded average citizens. Ps.A new bullet that claims to be so effective and so lethal that “it’s the last round you’ll ever need” is creating a lot of buzz in the gun world. The so-called Radically Invasive Projectile, cleverly named with the acronym RIP, also promises that one shot will “take out all your vital organs.” It’d be a great, small way of improving the skill cap of those weapons and re-introducing animations and RPG elements that would continue to be completely un-used for who knows how long. Stagger Melee Attack → Control + Left Click
#RIP BULLETS UPGRADE#
Something that would be an excellent addition to raise the skill cap of ranged weapons, is to add a passive skill upgrade you can pick, or add in a key modifier (like shift, control, or alt) to make your next attack be melee with Bow, Musket, Blunderbuss, and stagger if you manage to land it. The addition of free, endless T1 ammo was definitely a nice quality of life / smoothness change, but it makes me sad because new players today won’t have the opportunity to experience those weird, wacky RPG elements of improvisation like that in the earliest stages of the game. My strategy to level up Musket in the early levels was to get enemies down low enough (when I was out of ammo) with Fire Staff and then swap for the last couple of hits to finish them off with Musket’s stock strike to get experience on the weapon.
Yeah, I really miss the ability to do those attacks when you had no ammo.Įarly on when first playing New World at launch, my goal was to make a Fire Staff/Musket build, and was dead set on using those weapons no matter what.
